Dr. Karrick spent his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, receiving two bachelor degrees, and went on to receive his doctoral degree from Michigan College of Optometry. Dr. Karrick has completed advanced certification and training in medical treatment of eye disease.
Dr. Karrick completed his graduate experiences at Commonwealth Eye Services in Lexington, KY, specializing in the treatment of ocular disease, as well as at Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada, OK, where he specialized in diabetic eye care.
Dr. Karrick is certified by the American Board of Optometry, a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, as well as a past adjunct clinical professor for Pacific University College of Optometry.
Prior to residing in the Northwest, Dr. Karrick practiced at Kirk Eye Center in Chicago, IL. He developed a successful practice in North Bend, WA upon moving west before joining Edmonds Eyecare in 2002.
Dr. Karrick is a retired marathon runner and triathlete. He and his wife, Kimberley, live in Edmonds, where they own and operate Scratch Distillery.
